[Le DRAN (Nicolas Louis): "Histoire des Traitez conclus entre l'Espagne d'une part et la France et l'Angleterre d'autre part en 1721 // Fait en 1723 par M. le Dran p.er commis des aff.res etrangeres". Mid-18th-century manuscript in a small in-4° volume (188 x 260 mm), calf, smooth spine decorated, title in full (period binding). Calligraphic manuscript in black ink, 73 pp. long (including a Table), 16 or 17 lines long, with a few annotations in brown ink in the margins. On the title page is the following handwritten text, signed by the author: "Second present de N. L. Le Dran chef du Depôt des aff. etrangeres a M. Radix de Ste Foi Premier Commis, pour nouveau temoignage du desir qu'il a de meriter l'estime et l'amitié de ce digne confrere; a Paris le jour de Pâque mille sept cent soixante et deux". Nicolas Louis Le Dran (1687-1774) was the author of a number of studies on the diplomatic relations of his time, which have apparently not been published. From the Radix de Sainte-Foix library at Notre-Dame d'Ourscamp abbey. Covers rubbed and one corner dulled.
