Copy printed on pink paper. Copy belonging to Madame Laurent, who created the role of Cassandra in this play, with a DEDICATION BY THE AUTHOR on the half-title page: “To my beautiful and dear Cassandra // A pledge for the future // To Dumas,” & his handwritten bookplate on the cover. COPY ENRICHED WITH AN ORIGINAL LETTER from Marc Fournier, director of the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin, to journalist Valentin Darthenay, editor-in-chief of the newspaper *L’Entracte*, in which several artists are named who inspired the costumes and staging of the play, including a certain “Bénédict Mallon,” a certain “Flaxman,” and also Auguste Clésinger (Paris, January 9, 1856; 4 pp., in-8°).
