Alexander CALDER (1898-1976) Untitled Gouache on paper signed, dated and dedicated "to Gacqeline and Juy Loudmer" lower right. 76 x 110 cm (minor restorations) Provenance: Gift of the artist to Guy Loudmer and his wife Guy Loudmer had convinced Calder to paint the BMW 3.0 CSL that would race at Le Mans - driven by H. Poulain. Calder applied this swirling drapery motif to the BMW, on the roof of the car from the left-hand corner.
