Two preparatory pencil sketches on lined and perforated sheets in a single frame.
Two handwritten notes at the head of each sheet, one in ballpoint pen by an unidentified writer and the other in pencil in Calder's hand.
Sheet size: 29 x 20.5 cm
A catalog of the exhibition at the Grand Palais will be given to the purchaser.

In 1937, Alexander Calder participated in the Spanish pavilion at the Exposition Universelle in Paris with the Mercury Fountain. He donated this fountain to the Miró Foundation, Barcelona, in 1975.
