Strauss Allard et Mayer Cigarette case in tomato-lacquered 750/000 gold, adorned with a burgundy mother-of-pearl plate decorated with a Chinese lakescape and rose motifs. Master and horsehead hallmarks. Work c. 1930. Height 10 Width 4.8 Depth 1.2 cm Gross weight 110 g A similar lacquered and burgautéed example is in the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York, Vanity case "Garden Scene", c. 1929, by Strauss, Allard & Meyer for Janesich (inventory number 13.2016.47).
