In-16 (98 x 148 mm), contemporary soft ivory vellum. ORIGINAL EDITION (which does not appear to be in the B.N.F.). [10] ff. + 236 pp. (num. from 1 to 98 and from 103 to 240) + [6] ff. the last blank. 55 engraved plates (of 61), including two folded in fine. From the library of Jean, Jacques and Jean-Marie Baillergeau, with handwritten bookplates on the title. Small loss on the outside of the first cover, first hinge loose and six plates lacking, but a good copy in vellum. BUT A GOOD COPY IN CONTEMPORARY VELLUM OF THIS FAMOUS AND RARE TREATISE.
