Paris, Pierre Belfond, [1968]. In-folio (500 x 322 mm), leaves, publisher's blue cloth slipcase decorated with a black-and-white photograph pasted on the first cover (a few tears to the photograph), slipcase faded, with a few marks.
Offprint of the original edition, limited to 175 copies signed and numbered by the artist. Our copy (N°169) includes a proof on Elysée light bromide paper, signed by the author, and 81 photographs mounted on Aussedat paper. 75 heliogravures and 6 laminated silver prints (including 2 large-format prints, 31 x 48.5cm).
Opposite the title leaf, autograph letter from Lucien Clergue signed in pencil: "Pour Maître Michard-Pélissier, cet hommage à la femme et à la mer, Très respectueusement, Lucien Clergue, Arles 71".
