JACQUES ADNET (1900-1984) (attributed to) Dressing table with sycamore frame sheathed in shagreen grosgrain in a mosaic of rectangular plates, top with arched front opening to two drawers in the waist and a flap on four tapered sheath legs. Fillet in the waistband, spherical grips and foottips in ivory. 90.5cm x 42.5cm and height 71.5cm. La Compagnie des Arts Français, circa 1940. Partially damaged shagreen and wear marks. Bibliography: "Le décor de la maison", editions Le Décor d'Aujourd'hui, Paris, 1950, to be compared with a bedside model reproduced on plate 17.
