CHARLES ÉDOUARD JEANNERET known as LE CORBUSIER (1887-1965) - Lot 34
CHARLES ÉDOUARD JEANNERET known as LE CORBUSIER (1887-1965)
Lot of two original preliminary designs, first floor perspective view and interior view for the Villa Canneel in Brussels in 1929. 67cm x 90cm. Named, numbered and dated. Preliminary designs reproduced and described in the 1910-1929 volume of the complete works of Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Slight foxing and tears.
N.B.: Project commissioned by Brussels landscape architect Jean Canneel-Claes, son of sculptor Eugène Canneel and the first Belgian student to graduate from ISAD in 1930. He went on to work with the great names of Belgian modern architecture, including Louis Herman de Koninck, who completed his own project in replacement of and with the agreement of Le Corbusier from 1931 onwards. Enclosed is a book dedicated to the Belgian architect, with details of this project and reproductions of Le Corbusier's preliminary designs.
