HORTENSIA (L'). Almanach charmant. À Paris, Chez Janet, [1810], in-24, green morocco, boards decorated with a gilded plate with allegorical figure, smooth spine decorated, gilded edges (period binding). Collation: calendar dated 1810 in 2 folded leaves, 1 engraved title page, 12 pp. ch. 1 to 12, 24 pp. "Ariettes nouvelles" n. ch., 12 pp. ch. 13 to 24, 11 engraved figs. Almanac dedicated to flowers. Engraved title and 12 figures. The 10th figure is said to represent Rousseau at Ermenonville, holding a bouquet. A superb copy, very well preserved, colored at the time. Dimensions : 96 x 59 mm. Provenance: a handwritten note on the front cover refers to the Pichon sale of 1897. A similar copy is described under number 429. Grand-Carteret (J.), 1600 (citing the Pichon copy).
