428- SEVRES Jasmine cup and its saucer in porcelain. The cup decorated with flowers and fruits on a wickerwork background in imitation of a basket. The saucer with basketry background decorated in the center of a nest containing eggs, garland of foliage with daisies, ears of wheat and foliage with seeds on the edge. Inside the cup gold. Marks on the reverse side 1814-1824, signed by the painter Pierre Huard in blue. 19th century Height 8.5 cm Diameter : 16 cm Cf : The original drawing of the cup is dated 1817 and numbered 13 by Pierre Huard (1783-1857). In January 1818, he paints three cups of this model, which he takes again or gilds in November because well numbered 13 (Vj' 25). But only one is delivered on December 26 to the store, described as "tower of flowers" (Vv1, f°116r, line 5), confirmed by the appreciation sheet n°116 (Pb4, 1818). We learn in the Sèvres archives that Huard was paid 130 francs for the cup, which was offered for sale for 200 francs. Cf : Another cup dated 1821 with the same model and almost identical vegetal decoration is kept in the Marton collection in Croatia.
