Box with two compartments - Lot 1

Box with two compartments of oval shape in silver, the lid decorated with an allegory of Fortune on a background of the city of Bruges, bearing a Latin inscription "Paucis Aequa Parens Multis Natura Noverca Est Ecce Huius Similis Sors Inimica Mihi An 1581". The sides show hunting scenes with the French inscriptions "en court en amour est en chasse" and "chacun ne prend ce qu'il pourchasse". On the reverse, four medallions surrounding coats of arms, each with French inscriptions.
