decorated in blue monochrome, in the center of a peony decorated with branches of prunus. Squares and flowered reserves on the fall. Three twigs in bloom on the edge. 12 plates with chips on the edge.
Cf: the sale of the Nanjing Cargo on May 2, 1986 at Christies Amsterdam, was one of the events revealing the immense trade of porcelain in the South China Sea. Since 1980, many sunken ships have been discovered and have made it possible to write the history of the shapes and decorations according to the destination of the ship. Thus in the middle of the 18th century more than 100,000 pieces flooded the European trade of merchants, these porcelains which a century before in the port of Amsterdam were reserved like white gold for the Chinese royal cabinet and the architecture of interiors, now they are included in the decoration of respectable houses in the same way as the goldsmith's trade, furniture, paintings and carpets
