JUSTINIAN]. Digestorvm, sev Pandectarvm. Pars sexta. De bonorum possessionibus. Lugduni, Apud Gulielmum Rouillium [Lyon, Guillaume Rouille], 1581. In-16 (76 x 120 mm), olive morocco, boards entirely decorated with a plant and floral gilt decoration in small irons with a double framing of gilt fillets, coat of arms in the centre of the first, emblem with motto in the centre of the second, smooth spine decorated with the same decoration with title in the centre, gilt edges (binding of the time attributable to Clovis Eve) 1,094 pp. Regulated copy. Italic characters. Bands and woodcuts. Very small damage to the head cover and tiny lack in the middle of the first spine, but VERY GOOD EXAMPLE in LEATHER with the FANFARE & ARMS of Pierre DUODO, Venetian ambassador to France (1554-1611), bearing his motto "Expectata non eludet" on the back.
