FIRST EDITIONS. - One engraved heraldic title-frontispiece, six heraldic plates and one folded plate (tribute to the Duke of Bourbon). -- One engraved title-frontispiece, one plate depicting the Duke of Bourbon on his way to a tournament and two heraldic plates (out of seven). The first volume is dedicated to Nicolas Prunier, marquis de Virieu, known as the president of Saint-André (1655-1692), whose arms and those of his ancestry appear on the title-frontispiece. Small stains on the boards; leaves faded; two title-frontispieces short of margin and five plates lacking in the 2nd volume, but A GOOD EXAMPLE in RED ORIGINAL LEATHER. Saffroy, I, 2207 & 2209.
