CHINE, Kraak - Milieu XVIIe siècle
CHINA, Kraak - Middle 17th century Large porcelain dish decorated in blue under a couple of phoenixes on a rock near flowering peonies, surrounded by bands of brocade. The wing decorated with eight large cartouches decorated with peach branches and precious objects (babao), interspersed with panels decorated with pearls and swastika. Diam. 48 cm. References: Chinese porcelain in a Norman Manor, a story of "blue and white", by Alain Saint Loubert Bié, p.64 Exhibition: This dish was presented during the exhibition organized by the French Society for the Study of Oriental Ceramics, SFECO, in 2006 at the Compagnie de la Chine et des Indes and published in the catalogue.
